A Few of My Favorite Things

All I want for Christmas is...You!

Yes, that is my favorite Christmas song and yes, it is Mariah Carey.  It may not be Thanksgiving just yet, but Christmas tunes are blasting in our home...not by me.  My son, Dylan, asked me to sing along to Frosty The Snowman this morning and not going to lie...I forgot the words...mom fail!

As you know, I don’t like a lot of clutter so Christmas is always a tricky time of year for me with all the stuff.  I usually ask for gift cards (which I hoard until the Semi-Annual Sale at Nordstrom) or an experience. However, if you are looking to buy your Mom friends a gift or even ask for something yourself that is practical and can be used frequently here are my go to options:

  1. Mabel’s Labels

This is hands down one of my favorite products at the moment. My kids are in the midst of potty training which means accidents at school and even coming home in someone else’s clothes more than I would care to admit. There are often times where I can’t remember what belongs to school and what is actually ours. Luckily, Mabel’s Labels came to the rescue with their durable and waterproof labels for everything: shoes, water bottles, clothes, lunch box, and anything else the little ones seem to always be losing.

I was sworn to secrecy about their HUGE sale starting today. It was painful but I survived. Now I can share with everyone…

They are having 40% off our most popular products Nov 27-Dec 2.

You don’t want to miss this sale, it is a Mommy game changer. My kids also love seeing all the cool designs with their names so it could 100% fly as a gift to them.

2. Phocus

Chances are good, very good, you have heard me mention how I absolutely love Phocus. There are several reasons I love this product so much: 1) the company started in Louisville, KY and 2) there is 75mg of natural caffeine extracted from green tea - providing the energy equivalent of a cup of coffee with a clean, refreshing taste. An added bonus with green tea for me is that I don’t get the jitters or have the hard core crash.

I always start my day with my coffee, mainly because it is warm, but to get through the day working in homes with clients and negotiating my every single move with 3 year old twins...this is my go to! There are multiple flavors...all are delicious. Phocus even created a special cocktail at my book signing party...The No-Nonsense. So I will say you are welcome now because this will become your go to drink.

3. BeautyCounter

Being a Mom is a challenge. Even when I get my 8 hours of sleep I sometimes still look like the walking dead the next morning with bags under my eyes. The best is when I go out in public and others say you look tired...thanks! My go to fix for this issue is BeautyCounter Eye Cream and Cooling Masks. They make me look like I am 30 again and feel so amazing. The cooling masks are only available at Christmas and I legit almost cried when I ran out last year. There is currently 15% off and if you spend $50, you get free shipping. This is a run, don’t walk purchase. PS: I even became a consultant (hello discount) when I discovered BeautyCounter because I am in love with all of their products and made me look like a younger, fresher version of myself.

4. The Dry Bar

So to be honest, the days I actually shower is a straight up win. The chances of me doing my hair and makeup are about slim to none. However, it feels damn good to be made up and feel beautiful. The Dry Bar is such an amazing place for a Mom to go and get her hair did, feel like a million bucks. I had a speaking engagement in Dallas last fall at a Mom’s event. The Dry Bar was awesome enough to partner up with me and provide 5 FREE blow-outs. When I announced the giveaways to 5 lucky ladies, I felt like I was sitting on gold as I watched everyone’s eyes light up. Every Mom deserves to be pampered and feel like a queen sometimes...this is the perfect way to do just that. Also, go check out their website too...I hear they have a Black Friday deal on products. I also happen to be a big fan of all of their products, especially the dry shampoo. Less washy time equals more sleepy time...holla!

5. Scout and Cellar

Ok, I am going to cut to the chase on this one. Momma likes her wine. Even though I love my wine, I am also peculiar as to what I drink because the last thing I need is to feel awful the next morning when my twins are running around in circles and loudly singing Old MacDonald. This wine doesn’t give you the morning-after headache and also isn’t made up of multiple chemicals with added sugar. It is a cleaner wine without sacrificing the great taste. They will also deliver straight to your door….did I just drop the mic?
